Starting The Year Slow

Happy 2020, everyone! 🎆🎇

For a lot of people, the start of a new year is like having a clean slate. It is an opportunity to reflect on the past year, start new habits (or stop some old ones), and possibly define some goals for the year. It’s like a fresh wave of energy appears and most people are just raring to go. 

Personally though, I didn’t have the “fresh start” feeling on the 1st of January. December was just a mad rush, and I didn’t get the chance to catch my breath until a couple of days into the new year. In between the holiday hustle and visiting family members, I was left completely drained.

But now, I’m back (yay!), and I will be starting slow. Getting fully back in the groove of work, blogging, and old routines will take a while, and I will not judge myself for taking it slow. Yes, I still have set a couple of goals that I want to achieve this year, but I will try to be more forgiving to myself and listen to my body/mind/heart/soul more 😊
