Going Back to (Almost) Normal

A view inside our office building

First of all, well done New Zealand! That was a massive feat, having no active Covid-19 cases for weeks. This has allowed us to go down to Alert Level 1 – gathering and social distancing restrictions have been lifted, shops and restaurants are open, and people are going back to their places of work.

I have to say that I am grateful that we are living on this side of the world. With all the discord going on in different countries (including my home country), I am lucky to be here.

This week, the Mister and I go back to the office – with still some flexibility to our working arrangement. I will be doing a hybrid approach for the near future – splitting between the office and at home. I bet it would be another challenging adjustment to get back to the office, so it’s definitely another blessing to have this option.

With the relief of getting back some normality, it is quite expected to feel a bit worried and apprehensive. There is still a lot of uncertainty, and the virus is still out there. But we just have to take it one day at a time.
